Materials
- Medium-weight yarn (worsted weight recommended)
- Yarn color of your choice
Equipment
- Crochet hook (size H/8 - 5mm recommended)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
Instructions
- Step 1: Make a Slip Knot
- Create a loop with your yarn
- Pull yarn through to form a knot on your hook
- Step 2: Chain Stitch (Foundation)
- Yarn over
- Pull through the loop
- Repeat until you have 15 chains
- Step 3: First Row (Single Crochet)
- Insert hook into the second chain from the hook
- Yarn over and pull through (2 loops on hook)
- Yarn over again and pull through both loops
- Continue across the row
- Step 4: Turn Your Work
- Chain 1
- Turn your piece
- Step 5: Continue Rows
- Single crochet across each row
- Chain 1 at the end of each row
- Turn your work
- Repeat for 12โ15 rows until square forms
- Step 6: Fasten Off
- Cut the yarn, leaving a small tail
- Pull tail through the loop to secure
- Step 7: Finish
- Thread the yarn needle
- Weave in loose ends
